Prickly Pear, a line of one-of-a-kind and custom made handbags and accessories, features the creations of Sibylle Hartmann, a young artist working out of a small studio in Toronto, Ontario. After completing her Bachelor of Fine Art Degree at Queen's University in the spring of 2004, Sibylle sought a way to combine her passion for printmaking and graphics with her love of design, sewing, textiles, and her self-admitted obsession for handbags and in November of the same year Prickly Pear was born.
Every piece in the Prickly Pear line is individually designed and 100% handcrafted by Sibylle, making each truly unique. The playful prints that adorn her bags have come to epitomize the Prickly Pear style and each is hand screen-printed using only specialized, durable inks. Sibylle strongly believes in high-quality design and construction, meaning every Prickly Pear product is crafted with these high standards in mind. |
